Bella and Johan Carlsson. 367 Wimbledon Park Road SW19

We hired A&A Developments to renovate our home in July 2007. The twelve-month long project involved complete renovation of the interior, rear and side extensions, loft conversion, garage conversion, wine cellar dig-out, construction of a pool house and sauna hut, renovation of a pool, as well as installation of geothermal heating.

For a job that unexpectedly had to be managed by a pregnant housewife (then housewife with newborn baby!), Steve helped us every step of the way with his knowledge, patience and fairness. The pride that he and his crew take in every detail, from steel beams to wallpaper, is evident in the outstanding quality of their work. Likewise in the fact that, six months on, Steve is always only a scooter-ride away for any problems or concerns.

Thanks to Steve, Ron, Tom, Mario, Gregory, Justin, Steve M and all the rest, we could truly and honestly not be happier with our ‘new’ home!

Grahame Aldous, 4 Drax Avenue, SW20

We hired Steve of AA Developments on the recommendations of colleagues and having been to see other properties that he had worked on and one site in progress. The excavation and building of a 3 storey addition to our house lasted a year and working with Steve made the process a pleasure.

Steve likes to employ good craftsmen who take pleasure in producing fine work. Steve's idea of a job well done is one that produces what the client wants with a finish to be proud of. His favourite saying over the year of the project was, "No problem, I'll fix it" whenever a difficulty arose: and he did.

It was good to have found a builder we could trust, and who wanted to listen to what we wanted and work to a common goal. We are very grateful to Steve for the pleasure we have had out of our "new" home, and have no hesitation in reccomending him to our friends.

Alison and Jeremy Connick, Wimbledon

We hired A&A Developments after a recommendation from our Architect, John Buckle, to carry out an extension to our kitchen, a new garage, total refurbishment of the downstairs area of our house and the creation of a patio and deck area in the garden. From the beginning to the end of the project Steve and his excellent team provided a thoroughly professional service. The project was completed on time and to a very high standard. In fact Steve manages to find things to perfect that would go unnoticed by 99.9% of people!

The work was undertaken over one of the rainiest, snowiest winters in years and this was about the only building site "working" in the area. Steve was constantly in attendance to supervise the work which gave us great confidence throughout the job. Sometimes he would be back and forth on his scooter up to 10 times a day. Now the job has been completed we still feel we are priority when it comes to any niggles (of which there are very few). He also sourced a lot of materials at a much lower price than we would have been able to do and was happy to do so. No running around trying to find door handles, taps, locks, stone, ceramics - show him a picture or a sample from some expensive designer store and he will find it at a fraction of the same price.

We have heard lots of scary builder stories from friends but can honestly say that having Steve and his team working in our house whilst we were still living in it with 3 children and a dog was totally manageable and indeed with their good humour and excellent communication throughout it was a pleasure. All the team showed great pride in their workmanship and attension to detail. We couldn't be happier with the finished product. What is more this job was put out to tender to 3 recommended contractors and A&A were the cheapest. With apologies for spelling mistakes we would like to pass our thanks on to Ron, Tommy, Mario, Arturo, Raff, Gregor, Joe and last but not least, Steve, for a job very well done.
